Welcome to Japanese with Yoshie!
Hi! My name is Yoshie, and I am a certified Japanese language tutor, translator, and content creator. I have taught over 4,000 online lessons to students from all around the world.
Japanese with Yoshie is a welcoming space where I teach grammar and expressions, share tips to help you improve your Japanese, and provide a forum where you can ask and answer questions. There’s so much to explore—let’s learn together! ☺︎
I love studying languages, too!
I have always loved studying languages and connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Since I started learning English, I’ve been fortunate to meet so many wonderful teachers—who have also become dear friends. This experience has fuelled my passion for language learning and teaching.
More than just a teacher-student relationship, I hope to be a friend and support you on your language journey. As a long-time language learner myself, I understand the struggles and frustrations that come with it. But you’re not alone—let me listen and help!

A Little More About Me…
I was born and raised in the Japanese countryside, with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. I studied classical music and piano performance at university before moving to England to earn my MA in Arts Administration. Music has always been a big part of my life.
Between 2017 and 2018, I lived in France, where I began teaching Japanese online. Working remotely, using my language and administrative skills, and meeting people passionate about Japan—it was something I truly enjoyed and wanted to continue. Since then, I’ve been teaching this beautiful yet complex language and connecting with learners worldwide.
