Welcome to Japanese with Yoshie!
My name is Yoshie and I am a certified Japanese language tutor who is giving private lessons online. I have taught more than 4,000 lessons to students from around the world.
Japanese with Yoshie is a friendly space where I teach grammar, share tips to improve your Japanese skills, share photos of Japan (I love taking photos!), and hopefully communicate with you in the comments under the posts ☺︎
Growing up, I have always enjoyed studying languages and meeting people with different cultures and backgrounds.
Since I started studying English, I have been lucky enough to have met so many wonderful teachers, whom I could also call friends! This is one of the main reasons why I am always passionate about learning languages.
Not just studying together as a teacher and a student, I hope I can be your good friend, too ☺︎

Here is a little bit about my history…
I was born and grew up in the countryside of Japan, where you can see beautiful Mount Fuji. After graduating from the university where I studied classical music and piano performance, I moved to England to continue my studies to do an MA in arts administration. Music is always in my heart.
I also lived in France for a year. I started giving Japanese lessons online during my stay there. Working remotely anywhere in the world, using my language and administrative skills, and meeting people with a passion for Japan – this was something I could truly enjoy, and want to continue. Since then, I have been enjoying teaching this beautiful yet complex language and meeting people around the world.
