全く（まったく）”Not in the slightest”
あなたの言っていることが全く理解できません。
/anata no itteiru koto ga mattaku rikai dekimasen./
I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
少しも（すこしも）”Not at all”
この思い出のレストランは、私が子供だった頃と少しも変わっていません。
/kono omoide no resutoran wa, watashi ga kodomo datta koro to sukoshi mo kawatte imasen./
This beloved restaurant hasn’t changed at all since my childhood.
そんなに “Not much”
JLPT N3 はそんなに難しくなかったです。
/jee-eru-pii-tii enu-san wa sonnani muzukashiku nakatta desu./
I didn’t find the JLPT N3 that hard.
そう “Not often”
こんなに素晴らしい機会はそう巡ってくるものではないと思うので、全力で頑張りたいと思います。
/konna ni subarashii kikai wa soo megutte kuru mono de wa nai to omou node, zenryoku de ganbaritai to omoimasu./
I don’t think opportunities like this come around very often, so I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.
大して（たいして）”Not very much”
事故に遭ったけど、大して大きな怪我をしなくて本当に良かったです。
/jiko ni atta kedo, taishite ookina kega o shinakute hontoo ni yokatta desu./
I had an accident, but luckily I wasn’t badly hurt.
決して（けっして）”Never”
あの大学に入るのは難しいと思うけど、決して諦めたくないです。
/ano daigaku ni hairu no wa muzukashii to omou kedo, kesshite akirametaku nai desu./
I think getting into that university is difficult, but I’m determined not to give up.
滅多に（めったに）”Rarely”
人混みが嫌いなので東京には滅多に行かないけど、今日は買い物をするために来ました。
/hitogomi ga kirai nanode tookyoo ni wa mettani ikanai kedo, kyoo wa kaimono o suru tame ni kimashita./
I rarely go to Tokyo because I can’t stand crowds, but I made the trip today to do a bit of shopping.
