Causative passive: To be forced or caused to do or feel something by the behaviour of another person or an external stimulus

Point 1: Be forced or caused to do something

My big sister made me pick her up at the station.

My girlfriend is again late for our date today, I’ve been waiting for her for 30 minutes already.

I was forced to eat the vegetables that I dislike.

My boss made me write a report.

昨日のトレーニングで、監督に長距離を走らされました。
During yesterday’s training, my coach made me run for a long distance.
Point 2: Feel an emotion in response to something

That film made me think a lot.

When I was a child, I often fought with my big brother and he made me cry.

My friends threw a surprise party for me and made me happy.

I am so frustrated with such a slow response from my client.

The news of my friend getting married made me surprised.
