給与きゅうよ and 給料きゅうりょう both mean “pay” or “salary” in English. What is the difference?

給与

残業代ざんぎょうだいやボーナスなどを含め、会社かいしゃから受うけ取とる報酬ほうしゅうすべて

All remuneration received from a company, including overtime pay, allowances and bonuses

給料

会社かいしゃから支払しはらわれる金額きんがくから残業代ざんぎょうだいや手当てあてなどを引ひいた額がく = 基本給きほんきゅう

The amount paid by a company, minus overtime pay and various allowances = “basic salary”

Difference

給与きゅうよ includes everything, including various allowances, whereas 給料きゅうりょう do not include various allowances. Therefore, 給料きゅうりょう is a part of 給与きゅうよ.
