Rainy Season
日本には毎年、6〜7月に梅雨と呼ばれる雨の季節があります。雨の日が続いてジメジメした天気で、気分が晴れない季節ではありますが、綺麗な紫陽花が咲く時期でもあります。紫陽花は、晴れている時よりも雨に濡れている時の方が美しいですよね。

雨が________降っています。/ame ga _______ futte imasu/
ぽつぽつ /potsu-potsu/ Drops of rain, usually used when it has just started raining.
ぱらぱら /para-para/ Drops of rain, like potsu-potsu, this is also often used when it has just started raining, but slightly in bigger drops. Resembles the sound of rain hitting an umbrella, roof, etc.
